Okay, so, this is a website and websites are supposed to have an about me page, which feels wholly unnatural–especially as someone who spent so much of their life hiding as best they could from everyone around them. Whenever I’m at a party and someone asks me about myself, I never know where to begin.
Do I talk about my kids? My partner? Or should I start with my childhood? Maybe they’re just asking what I do for a paycheck? Are they curious about passions, interests, and fears? What if they’re trying to politely ask about transition?
(oh god, what if they’re sick of hearing me talk about transition? do I still have a personality outside transition? )
Which answer would I want? Something sanitized and clean? Or something strange and messy?
